Terms of Use

What this site is, and what our quotes mean.

Informational site

Everything here describes what we buy and how we buy it. Prices, ranges and market commentary on this site are general information, not an offer. A binding offer is a specific number we give you for your specific material after seeing photos or the wire itself.

Quotes

A quote is based on what you represent to us. It is firm and we do not re-trade it on arrival. It can change only if the material turns out to be materially different from what was described — for example aluminum conductor represented as copper, or a fraction of the footage discussed. Quotes are good for a reasonable window and may be revisited if metal markets move sharply before pickup.

Title and authority

By selling to us you represent that you own the wire or are authorized by the owner to sell it, and that it is free of liens. We keep a bill of sale on every purchase and comply with applicable state metal-transaction recordkeeping. We do not buy stolen material, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement.

Safety and electrical work

We do not perform electrical work. Wire that is still installed must be de-energized, isolated and pulled by a qualified electrician before we haul it. We quote in place, but the disconnection and removal from energized systems is not our scope.

Pickup and site conditions

You agree to provide reasonable access on the scheduled date. We bring our own loading equipment when the site has none. We are responsible for our crew and our equipment while on your property, and we clean up the load area behind ourselves.

Payment

Payment is made to the seller before the material leaves the property. We do not take material on consignment and we do not defer payment until resale.

Site content

Photographs on this site are of real surplus wire and cable lots. Manufacturer names are used only to describe material we buy; we are not an authorized dealer, distributor or representative of any manufacturer, and no affiliation is implied.

Limitation

This site is provided as is. We do not warrant that every specification, size table or market observation on it is free of error, and it should not be relied upon as engineering guidance. For code questions consult the NEC and your local authority having jurisdiction.
