Trucks, forklifts, reel handling and pallet wrapping are billed to us. That cost is already priced into the offer you receive.
Full reels, partial reels, boxed coils, loose cut-offs and several different constructions on one skid are all normal to us.
What we look for in mc & ac cable
MC cable is bought by the carton and left over by the carton. Any commercial interior job, tenant fit-out or healthcare build runs through pallets of 12/2, 12/3, 10/2 and 10/3 MC, plus larger feeder MC in the bigger gauges. When the job closes out, whatever is left is dead inventory for the contractor and live inventory for us.
We buy sealed cartons, opened cartons, loose coils and cut lengths. Steel and aluminum armor both. MC-AP with the aluminum ground path, healthcare MC with the isolated ground, and standard MC all have resale markets. Prefabricated whips and fixture assemblies with connectors already installed are worth quoting as well, and boxes of loose whips are a regular purchase for us.
Sealed cartons with legible labels get the best numbers because they can be resold as-is. Loose coils are fine, they just get graded on how clean and how long the individual pieces are. Short cut-offs under a few feet are recovery material rather than resale material, but we will still take them along with the rest of the load.
