Wire Brands We Buy
The print line affects what surplus wire is worth, because it affects how readily the next contractor will accept it. It never affects whether we are interested. Below are the manufacturers we see most often; anything not listed, including unbranded material, is still worth a call.
- Paid before pickup
- No sorting required
- Freight and loading covered
- Any gauge, full or partial reels

Any manufacturer, any vintage, any condition. Send a reel tag photo for a same-day number.
Funds change hands before a single reel leaves your property. There is no consignment and no waiting on a downstream resale.
You are never asked to sort, measure, strip or re-spool anything. Our team grades the material from photos and our own inspection.
Trucks, forklifts, reel handling and pallet wrapping are billed to us. That cost is already priced into the offer you receive.
Full reels, partial reels, boxed coils, loose cut-offs and several different constructions on one skid are all normal to us.

Southwire
Southwire is the most common print line we see on surplus building wire in the United States. THHN, XHHW-2, SIMpull constructions, NM-B and bare copper all turn over constantly, and a legible Southwire print on a full reel makes a lot easy to resell.
Encore Wire
Encore Wire reels show up on commercial jobs nationwide and are strong resale stock. Their THHN and MC cable in particular move quickly, and the reel head tags are usually still attached and readable, which helps the offer.
Cerrowire
Cerrowire is heavily used on residential and light commercial work, so their NM-B coils and THHN spools are a regular purchase for us. Boxed and banded Cerrowire coils in original wrap get the best numbers.
General Cable
General Cable material, including the older Carol brand cord and cable, remains fully saleable. We buy their building wire, tray cable, portable cord and utility constructions.
Service Wire
Service Wire is a specialist in XHHW-2, VFD and tray cable, which means their surplus reels tend to be the large-gauge and specialty constructions that carry the highest resale value.
Republic Wire
Republic Wire building wire and MC cable are common on commercial interior jobs. Sealed cartons and full reels are the strongest sellers and we buy them by the pallet.
AFC Cable Systems
AFC is one of the dominant names in MC and AC cable. Their cartons of standard MC, MC-AP and healthcare cable are constant turnover for us, sealed or opened.
Okonite
Okonite makes premium medium voltage and utility cable, and surplus Okonite reels are genuinely valuable because replacement lead times are long. Always worth a call even for a single partial reel.
Prysmian
Prysmian, including the Draka lineage, produces utility, industrial and specialty cable. Large-gauge and medium voltage surplus reels from Prysmian sell well into industrial resale.
Nexans
Nexans utility and industrial cable, including their AmerCable industrial constructions, is bought readily. Mining, marine and heavy industrial cable is a specialty resale market with real depth.
Houston Wire & Cable
HWC distributes a wide spread of industrial constructions, and their surplus tends to be tray cable, control cable and specialty industrial wire on full reels.
Belden
Belden instrumentation, control and communications cable is precise, expensive material with a strong resale market. Full reels and boxes of Belden are worth quoting even in small quantities.
Windy City Wire
Windy City Wire low voltage, fire alarm and data cable comes in labeled boxes that stack and resell easily. Boxed overstock from data contractors is a routine purchase.
Superior Essex
Superior Essex building wire, magnet wire and communications cable are all in scope. Their utility and building constructions are common in distributor overstock.
Marmon Utility / Hendrix
Marmon Utility and Hendrix aerial cable is specialist utility material. Surplus spacer cable and covered conductor reels have a narrow but well-paying resale market.
Polycab & import brands
Imported building wire, including Polycab and other non-domestic print lines, is still bought. Domestic print generally prices better, but we quote import material honestly rather than refusing it.
