Send photos of the reel tags and receive a firm number, usually the same day. No obligation.
Funds change hands before a single reel leaves your property. There is no consignment and no waiting on a downstream resale.
You are never asked to sort, measure, strip or re-spool anything. Our team grades the material from photos and our own inspection.
Trucks, forklifts, reel handling and pallet wrapping are billed to us. That cost is already priced into the offer you receive.
Full reels, partial reels, boxed coils, loose cut-offs and several different constructions on one skid are all normal to us.
What we look for in thhn & thwn wire
THHN and THWN-2 is the workhorse of American commercial construction and it is by far the most common thing we buy. Every job that pulls conduit orders it, every job over-orders it, and the leftovers end up on a rack in the back of a shop. If you have reels of black, white, red, blue or green THHN sitting in a warehouse, that is money not doing anything.
We buy it in every gauge from 14 and 12 AWG stranded up through 500 and 750 MCM. Small-gauge wire in 500 foot and 2,500 foot spools moves in volume, and the large-gauge single conductors on wooden reels carry serious per-pound value because the copper content is high and the resale market for it never softens.
Three things drive your number: gauge, whether the reels are full or partial, and whether the print on the jacket is still legible. A full unopened 500 MCM reel with a readable print line and the original reel tag is worth the most. Partials still sell well, and we buy short pieces and cut-offs too, they simply price closer to recovery value than to resale value.
