01You Are Paid Before It Moves

Funds change hands before a single reel leaves your property. There is no consignment and no waiting on a downstream resale.

02No Sorting Or Stripping

You are never asked to sort, measure, strip or re-spool anything. Our team grades the material from photos and our own inspection.

03We Cover Freight and Loading

Trucks, forklifts, reel handling and pallet wrapping are billed to us. That cost is already priced into the offer you receive.

04Mixed Lots Are Welcome

Full reels, partial reels, boxed coils, loose cut-offs and several different constructions on one skid are all normal to us.

The first group is general scrap yards. They will take almost anything and they price by the pound against a published copper number, deducting for insulation weight and their hauling cost. They are the fastest option and almost always the lowest, because they have no channel for reselling working wire.

The second group is brokers. They do not own the material; they find a buyer and take a cut. That can work, but you wait for the sale, the price is not firm, and you may end up covering freight if the deal is structured loosely.

The third group is electrical equipment dealers who handle everything. They understand resale, but wire is one line among many, so their pricing tends conservative and they often cherry pick the easy full reels and leave you the partials.

The fourth group is surplus wire specialists who buy with their own money. That is what we are. Because wire and cable is the only thing we buy, we know what a given size, type and length sells for, so we can commit to a firm cash number immediately, take the partials along with the full reels, and still cover the loading and the freight.

How the four compare

  • Scrap yard: fastest, lowest, priced by copper weight only.
  • Broker: no money at risk, no firm price, you wait for resale.
  • General equipment dealer: fair but conservative, cherry picks the easy reels.
  • Wire specialist: firm cash offer, freight and loading covered, paid before pickup, takes the whole lot.
  • Only the last two will tell you honestly whether your reels are resale-grade or scrap-grade.

What happens after you accept

We confirm the pickup window against your schedule, send our own truck and crew, and pay you before anything moves. You do not need to sort by size, weigh anything, wrap the reels or stage them at a dock. If the material is behind a locked gate or up on a job site with limited access, tell us and we will bring the right equipment rather than asking you to move it for us.

Loose coils, damaged reels and mixed pallets are normal and we plan for them. Our crew wraps and loads to keep long lengths continuous, because continuous length is most of what we are paying you for.

Questions sellers ask us

Straight answers

Do you charge anything to quote or to pick the wire up?

No. Quoting is free and removal is our cost. If you accept our number, nothing comes out of your pocket at any stage.

How quickly can this happen?

A number usually comes back the same day you send photos. Pickup is typically within one to two weeks, and faster when you have a yard clearance or lease deadline driving it.

What if I only have a few partial reels?

That is still worth a call. Small quantities are frequently best combined into a single lot, and we buy partials and cut lengths routinely rather than only taking full reels.

Do you buy wire in every state?

Yes, all 50 states and the District of Columbia. We stage freight regionally, so your location affects our scheduling rather than your price.
