Full reels, partial reels, boxed coils, loose cut-offs and several different constructions on one skid are all normal to us.
What we look for in aluminum cable
Aluminum conductor gets undersold constantly because sellers assume the only value is scrap aluminum. In reality URD, triplex, quadruplex, aluminum XHHW and aluminum MC all have healthy resale markets, and utility contractors generate surplus in exactly these constructions every season.
We buy direct burial URD in the common utility sizes, overhead triplex and quadruplex, aluminum service entrance cable, and large aluminum feeder conductor on reels. Full reels and coils of recognizable utility constructions are the strongest sellers because utility contractors buy them to install.
The practical advantage of aluminum surplus is volume: a truckload of aluminum reels is a bigger physical load for the same dollar value than copper, which is why some buyers avoid it. We do not, because we run our own trucks and the freight is already on us.

Who handles loading and freight?
We do, at our cost. That includes the truck, the forklift, the reel handling and the pallet wrapping.
How fast can you pick up?
Usually within a week or two of agreeing on a price, and faster if you have a hard deadline like a lease expiration or a warehouse cleanout date.
