What moves the number on Prysmian material
- Conductor size, and whether it is a common trade size.
- Copper versus aluminum, which is usually the largest single factor.
- Full unopened reels and sealed cartons versus partials.
- Whether the print line and reel tag are still legible.
- Insulation type: THHN, XHHW-2 and MC resell fastest.
- Indoor storage versus years of sun and weather exposure.

Straight answers
Do you only buy Prysmian wire?
No. We buy every print line, and unbranded material as well. The manufacturer affects the resale pool and therefore the price, but it never determines whether we are interested.
My Prysmian reel tag is missing. Is that a problem?
Not a serious one. Photograph the jacket instead. The print line repeats along the length of the conductor and usually carries the size, the insulation type and the voltage rating, which is most of what we need.
Is older Prysmian stock worth anything?
Frequently yes. Copper does not expire and insulation compounds hold up well indoors. What matters is gauge, construction and storage condition rather than the year it was manufactured.
